Perceptions

I got an awesome internship opportunity at a magazine here at school called Perceptions. It's an art magazine that features photography and short stories, etc. They are currently accepting submissions, it's not only limited to students!

this is the poster I did for it :) the word "perceptions" is completely custom lettering

ok back to work! :)

Never Stop

I gotta do some personal work every once in a while to stay sane :) I'm pretty much in love with buffalo plaid lately so I decided I need to do a design with it. The words are just something I made up, little typography practice ;)

okay back to homework for me! :)

Ryan | Class of 2012

Another senior session! This is Ryan (and his dog Bella).

Could not have asked for a better day for these photos! Love 'em

I just did some more senior photos today and it was another beautiful day! Those will be coming soon :)

Fall is coming!

I love when all the leaves start changing colors, so pretty! Took a little break from school the other day to step outside and shoot some photos and video :) here are a couple of my cinemagraphs I made! I'm still getting the hang of these, but they are fun! :)

have a good week! :) make sure to have a pumpkin spice latte!

School / Fall 2011

In an effort to consistently update my blog I thought I'd show some school work I've just finished, and I actually really like my designs :)

these are beverage icons, pretty self explanatory. The categories were juice, dairy, energy, soda, tea & alternative (non-dairy). This was actually a lot harder then I originally thought it would be, these had to work as a set yet communicate what each beverage is, and that it is in fact a beverage. No text allowed.

Today I folded and bound some Sseko lookbooks! I'm planning to take photos tomorrow, I love how they look, it's so great to see it actually printed out!

Well Hello There

Webcam cinemagraph, good practice ;) I have some cooler ones coming soon of my little bro.

have a good saturday! :)

The Cinemagraph

The Cinemagraph- a moving picture, formerly known as animated GIFs has become a new trend I've been seeing on the web, so of course I wanted to try it! Not quite a video, but not a photo either, they allow you to select what parts of the photo move, bring attention to the smallest details you may not have otherwise noticed in a video...I love them! I'm very inspired by these cinemagraphs and hopefully someday mine will be up to their level!

This is my first attempt. I did it with a video clip I already had, so I had to stabilize it using imovie and some extra alignment in photoshop...next time I'm using a tripod! :)

stay tuned for more of these in the future! I might be hooked... :)
