The Cinemagraph

The Cinemagraph- a moving picture, formerly known as animated GIFs has become a new trend I've been seeing on the web, so of course I wanted to try it! Not quite a video, but not a photo either, they allow you to select what parts of the photo move, bring attention to the smallest details you may not have otherwise noticed in a video...I love them! I'm very inspired by these cinemagraphs and hopefully someday mine will be up to their level!

This is my first attempt. I did it with a video clip I already had, so I had to stabilize it using imovie and some extra alignment in photoshop...next time I'm using a tripod! :)

Made it!

Time for another DIY post! I recently finished this top (I'm a little slow getting around to posting pictures...) and I LOVE it! I was a little unsure about the leopard, but I'm basically in love with it now.

So for this top I started with this pattern
and basically made adjustments to make it fit and look how I wanted, super easy! Burda style is one of my fave places to get patterns from! Try it ;)

funny story: I have this little remote I use with my camera (you can see me holding it in some of the photos) for the longest time I could not figure out WHERE I put it! It was driving me crazy! So one day it was a little cold here so I pulled out a pair of jeans to wear, last time I'd worn them I had rolled them into cuffs, but I wanted them unrolled this time...so I was unrolling then and out flies my camera remote! Confession: sometimes I put things into the cuffs of my jeans (like my phone and/or camera remote) Lesson learned, won't do that again. ;)

 

Megan | Class of 2012

Super excited to share photos from my first ever senior photo session with my dear, Megan! She asked me if we could do them at a place we both love, Winema Christian Camp, to which I replied "YES!!!"

Honestly I love almost all of the pictures and had trouble choosing a few to show! Enjoy!

This was actually Megan's idea! I was so excited! My feet hurt SO bad from this cold water, but totally worth it!

You are so beautiful Megan! I loved taking your photos so much! (let's do it again? College senior?)

Robinson Wedding

Pretty sure I never blogged these before, I was just going back through some of my old photos and found some that I really like :) And since it's pretty much "wedding season" right now, I thought it'd be perfect.

Be excited for Megan's senior photos! They are GORGEOUS! And shot at one of my favorite places ever: Winema Christian Camp. I feel that my life is now complete since I've shot senior photos there ;)

I heart stripes!

I'm totally loving the nautical trend right now as I'm totally addicted to navy and white stripes! I found this fabric as this awesome store in Portland called Scrap that has scraps of fabric, and random bits of used art supplies, it's awesome! So of course I bought it and set it aside for the perfect project, which this happened to be :)

the leather tassle is from H&M the rest is made by me :)

Sometimes...

Spent this last week and the beautiful oregon coast for high school camp. We sang a song called "Sometimes" by David Crowder Band, the lyrics are simply beautiful and amazing and were the inspiration for this design :)
