Generalizations

just a little design I did today, I like incorporating quotes into designs, kinda my new thing :)

I've been watching the office so much lately and I think it's funny how Dwight says "False." all the time, I think that is why I chose this quote, hehe.

hmm...I'll have to start using office quotes for designs ;)

oh and I have a pretty sweet poster design (if I do say so myself) to upload soon!

This was actually a homework assignment (follow a tutorial on shaded text) So I thought I'd spice it up a bit with a quote about technology, it is graphic design after all ;)

Yes, it SNOWED here! It's not even thanksgiving yet! Needless to say I'm pretty stoked about the snow and having the day off of school because of it :)

I bundled up and went for a little stroll around the neighborhood to get some photos of this awesome occasion.

I got some cute new boots, which I  love, and they came just in time for the snow!

a little typography for today, this one isn't a quote, just a thought from me

I'm really wanting to try to hand draw some script type and transfer it to the computer, so we'll see, maybe that will happen over thanksgiving break :)

{ Winter Ale }

Red Hart Winter Ale. Sounds good, huh? I've been really wanting to design a beer label* (see note below) so I just decided to make up my brand of beer and do it :) I wanted it to have a very "Northwest" feel, like something you'd find at a little brewery in Portland. 

*Wondering "why a beer label?" Well I happen to think alcohol has exceptionally designed packaging, ever seen an ugly beer label? (okay there's maybe a few in the world.) so that is the answer to why I chose a beer label. and finally, here it is:

This is a design I did for school :)

We designed face cards in a style similar to a card they showed us, using an animal instead of human.

My animal is a White Hart (hart is an old word for stag). It is thought to be good luck to see one as they are very rare to see. They are also the personal emblem of Kind Richard the second and appear on his coat of arms.

Some more typography for today, I worked on this, this morning instead of homework...hehe :)
